Synopsis

This recording is the third installment in a five-part series documenting the 1967 season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, London. Sir John Barbirolli conducts the Halle Orchestra, with Martin Milner as concertmaster. The program features Viennese works by Johann Strauss and Richard Strauss, including the Overture to *Die Fledermaus*, followed by the Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, Champagne Polka, and the iconic Waltz from *The Blue Danube*.
