Synopsis

Earlier this evening, television cameras captured the first half of the opening concert for the 73rd season of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall. Featuring Fou Ts'ong on piano, the performance involved the BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by Trevor Williams and conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent. Richard Baker provided the introduction.
