Synopsis

This recording concludes a series of six programs captured from the BBC's Promenade Concerts season of 1966 at the Royal Albert Hall. Pierre Boulez conducts Stravinsky's *The Rite of Spring*, performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, with Hugh Maguire as leader. The program is introduced by Richard Baker and includes commentary by Pierre Boulez himself.
