Synopsis

The Royal Albert Hall is filled with television cameras for the opening half of the 72nd season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts. Featuring Moura Lympany (piano) and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by Hugh Maguire and conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent, the program begins with the National Anthem. The concert then proceeds with Berlioz’s *Roman Carnival* Overture, followed by Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor. Prior to the performance, Richard Baker interviews Sir Malcolm Sargent on t
