Synopsis

This recording marks the first in a series of six exceptional programs from the BBC's 1965 Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, London. Featuring Norma Fisher at the piano, the BBC Symphony Orchestra is led by Hugh Maguire and conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent. The program is introduced by Tom Fleming and was recorded on Saturday, July 24th.
