Synopsis

Television cameras from the BBC are present at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the opening concert of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts. The BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by Hugh Maguire and conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent, will perform. Soloists include Jose Luis Garcia on violin, Roy Malan on violin, Kenneth Sillito on violin, Ronald Thomas on violin, and Moura Lympany on piano. The evening will be introduced by Robert Hudson.
