Synopsis

Television cameras gather at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the opening concert of the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts, the first installment of a season of performances. The BBC Symphony Orchestra, led by Paul Beard and conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent, features Patricia Carroll on piano. The evening is introduced by Kenneth Kendall.
