Synopsis

A chilling blend of mythologies—'Darkman' and 'The Phantom of the Opera'—unfolds along the Malibu coast. A mysterious figure, bearing a hidden disfigurement, haunts the shadows beneath the pier and among the dunes frequented by Baywatch. Known only as the "phantom lifeguard" to the public, he leaves enigmatic gifts for C.J., each one carefully wrapped in the verses of Edgar Allan Poe.
