Synopsis

Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon had recently received his promotion. A disagreement arose between Mitch and his ex-wife, Gayle, concerning the best path for their son, Hobie. Eddie Kramer, the standout rookie of the 1989 class, was contrasted with Shauni McClain, one of the few to even pass the initial qualifications. Shauni began her training as a decidedly unskilled lifeguard, but under the tutelage of the seasoned Jill Riley, she gradually learned the skills necessary to excel.
