Having experienced the initial television program and subsequently viewing this version, I’m finding it difficult to engage with, even having trouble completing the first season. The changes feel jarring—it comes across as overly modern in its approach to social issues, unnecessarily focused on gender dynamics, seemingly arbitrary in its plot developments, and employing a chaotic visual style that makes it hard to endure.
