The most important thing to remember about this is that it’s animation—meaning things should move. However, it felt like everyone was frozen in place; visually, it looked nice, but there was a distinct lack of motion. That was my main issue, and it wasn't even a huge one…until the appearance of a female, body-positive trans Penguin. That’s when I completely tuned out. I’m not sure if the rest would have been enjoyable or not, but I’ve had enough of contrived messaging. It was that element that made me stop watching. There's already so much to watch—countless TV shows and movies released before this current trend of overt political agendas—so I don't feel obligated to invest my time in Batman: Caped Crusader. There are plenty of other options available, ones without the heavy-handed messaging. I’m not interested in anything that promotes those kinds of ideas, but they need viewers; their industry is struggling. I tried it out, but I was turned off right away when they injected their politics into the Penguin's character. I didn’t hesitate to stop watching, and I intend to avoid it altogether.
