The potential for this series seemed significant, especially with the creative team assembled—with the exception of Jar Jar Abrams’ involvement. However, what resulted felt like an exercise in adhering to mandated diversity quotas. The show isn't just dull; the character designs are unattractive and frankly unpleasant to look at, particularly when set beside the aesthetic of *Batman: The Animated Series*, a style it attempts to emulate but fails to capture well. As someone who greatly appreciates the DC animated universe from the nineties and early two thousands, I had hoped for something with at least some resemblance to that era, especially given Bruce Timm’s participation, but my expectations were clearly misplaced.
