Synopsis

A sense of unease settled over her, a subtle shift in her perception of the townspeople. Unbidden, questions arose – observations, really – that lingered in her mind, coloring her understanding of those around her. These nascent concerns, however, were interwoven with the everyday rhythms of life, overshadowed by more immediate matters and fleeting diversions. The whispers of doubt grew, yet other things demanded attention, pulling her focus in different directions.
