The show immediately grabbed me, with an opening sequence reminiscent of Drew Barrymore’s memorable scene in 'Scream,' leading into some truly surprising events. Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina are fantastic together, portraying characters that felt real and easy to connect with. Tom Bateman is also excellent; he embodies the unsettling nature of Matt Pierce and brings a genuine sense of menace to his role as a killer. This Peacock series seems to be commenting on how much we’re all interested in murder, poking fun at our fascination with serial killers and those true crime podcasts that are so popular now. I found myself wanting to watch it all back-to-back after just the first episode. The story moves quickly and kept me really invested. Each installment felt very short, and a lively musical score added to the show’s overall feeling of disorder. If you enjoy dark comedies or true crime podcasts, this is definitely worth checking out. It combines humor with intense scenes, giving viewers what they want in terms of compelling narratives. Cuoco, Messina, and Bateman all give noteworthy performances, developing characters that were relatable, interesting, and even lovable.
