Synopsis

At an antiques fair in Builth Wells, shrewd shoppers unearthed treasures such as a Beswick pheasant and a petite armoire. The question remains: will these finds yield a profit when offered at auction in Malvern? Tim Wonnacott journeys to the impressive Capesthorne Hall near Macclesfield in Cheshire, where he examines a painting of the stately home. This artwork was commissioned from the matchstick artist L.S. Lowry in 1954.
