Synopsis

In the picturesque town of Honiton, Devon, bargain hunters have unearthed a curious array of treasures, including a mounted ostrich egg and a Victorian magic lantern. Tim Wonnacott, ever in pursuit of the unusual, stumbles upon an acupuncturist's model amongst the antiques at the town’s waterfront centre. His explorations also lead him to Saltram House near Plymouth, where he examines the interior craftsmanship of Robert Adam, the influential architect and designer of the 18th century.
