It's a letdown. I really hoped it would be better. Michael Connelly is known for crafting solid Los Angeles police narratives, and “Bosch” demonstrates that those stories can translate well to the screen. However, this doesn’t quite succeed. It functions as an average police procedural, but it feels dull. The individual moments don't connect effectively; they feel flat and without energy, and the conversations are stiff rather than natural. I'm not sure if the problem lies with the way it was filmed, the editing choices, or the performances, but whatever the cause, the show is simply uninteresting. I can’t suggest you watch this one. If you're looking for a similar concept—a group of flawed individuals tackling intricate unsolved mysteries—you'd be better off watching “Dept. Q” instead.
