Synopsis

Backstrom returns home to find Dante Trippi, Valentine's abuser, dead on his doorstep. Concerned for Valentine's safety, the S.C.U. investigation unravels a network of counterfeit wine smugglers, a compromised river patrol officer, and a corrupt Portland government official. Complicating the case, Valentine’s reluctance to be truthful hinders the team's progress. Adding to Backstrom's disquiet, Amy has a new boyfriend who does not inspire his approval.
