Bester arrived at Babylon 5 bearing intelligence regarding President Clark’s designs to undermine the station’s reputation. This information, however, came with a demand: he required the crew to journey to Z'ha'dum in search of any residual technology that might offer a means to restore his lost love. In response, Garibaldi tendered his resignation as chief of security.
