I rated the series **8 stars**, though really it’s closer to **7.5 stars**. It's enjoyable, but if I hadn’t already been familiar with the source material, I would have thought it was quite good. Knowing what I do, however, my assessment is that it’s simply a good show. The adaptation itself wasn't bad, and I am hoping for season 2 to bring it closer to the original—not as a direct remake, but with more similarities. That would be fantastic.
