This low-budget series shares similarities with Naoki Urasawa’s *Monster*, and its quality is significantly boosted by the excellent writing and performances from the main actors, especially the younger portrayal of the villain. While the conclusion to the second season felt somewhat disappointing, it still warrants considerable recognition for the story's progression. It functions well as a police procedural, though the philosophical elements are superficial and largely restate concepts. With a stronger philosophical foundation or more developed central conflict, it could have achieved a rating of 9/10; improved cinematography might have pushed it to 10/10, as would a less abrupt ending and a better actor for the older antagonist. It’s generally worthwhile to watch once.
