Synopsis

At her in-laws' house, Alex confronts Peter, a boy of fourteen and the future father of Molly. Desperate to assist Molly’s grandparents, she finds Gene determined to bury the police corruption scandal with a carefully crafted narrative, dismissing the burglary as insignificant. The discovery that George Staines, a notorious gangster presumed dead, left fingerprints at the scene shifts everything. Gene sees an opportunity – a headline he can exploit.
