Synopsis

A flutter of nerves accompanies Ginger whenever Mr. Gardner, her English teacher and Quiz Team advisor, is near. The question hangs unspoken between them: what will he say if she dares to ask him on a date? Elsewhere, Carl and Hoodsey are hatching a scheme. Their aim is audacious – to kidnap Pawtucket Pete, the celebrated groundhog, hoping the resulting publicity will boost sales of their hand-woven scarves.
