The initial episodes are quite enjoyable; if the series had maintained that quality, I would have rated it perfect. However, it rapidly declined into something akin to typical CW programming, transforming from a promising superhero show in the vein of Grell into a combination of Smallville and The Dating Game. As time goes on, the presentation becomes increasingly bland and watered down, with the initial darkness and appeal fading into superficiality characteristic of the CW. I suggest watching only the early seasons before abandoning it.
