Synopsis

Emily was heartbroken by news of Lord Fitzgerald’s grave illness. Sarah, meanwhile, seemed to accept the solitude that awaited her, and lent a hand in nursing Mr. Fox through his last days. His passing left Caroline so weakened, she scarcely possessed the strength even to grieve for him.
