Synopsis

Indecorous messages appearing on her lingerie nearly prompt Mrs. Slocombe to resign, but the unfolding drama shifts when it’s revealed that elderly Mr. Grace intends to propose marriage to a member of the staff. His summons for Mrs. Slocombe then creates a widespread impression – one everyone readily accepts – that she is the intended recipient.
