Synopsis

A simple tardiness – Mr. Grainger’s five-minute delay returning from his coffee break – triggered a new management initiative: the monitoring of all employee breaks. Consequently, staff are now required to formally register both their departure from and return to the department. This imposition has provoked a strong reaction amongst employees, culminating in union action.
