However, the arrival of season 2 significantly diminished my enjoyment; it felt like a complete failure, and my excitement vanished. It seemed that every plot thread carefully established in the first installment was carelessly discarded to accelerate character development toward their established roles within the League of Legends universe. The writing fundamentally damaged each character’s integrity. I appreciated the earlier episodes, but season 2's script makes me uncomfortable. It felt as though the creative decisions were influenced by the Reddit community. Arcane possessed considerable promise that was ultimately squandered. What we received instead resembles a derivative Marvel-style superhero film attempting to connect with existing movies and related projects. I suggest experiencing only the first season, then imagining what a second season could have achieved. **Spoilers** Caitlyn commits acts of war without remorse. Vi behaves in an overly dramatic manner and briefly adopts a gothic aesthetic during one episode. Viktor is reduced to a stereotypical antagonist because his earlier portrayal was deemed too positive for the show’s trajectory. Jayce's storyline becomes insignificant.
