Synopsis

A journey to Barnstaple in North Devon yields several significant finds: an enamel miniature by Henry Bone, a notable collection of walking sticks, a World War I pilot's watch previously owned by T.E. Lawrence, a valuable painting from the Newlyn School, and a 19th-century 'octopus bag' crafted by a native Canadian artisan. Host Michael Aspel discovers a personal treasure among the items – a signed photograph of himself, captured over forty years ago.
