Synopsis

The Island County Fair arrives in Avonlea, carrying with it the familiar currents of love and loss, rivalry and misfortune. Matthew finds himself in a contest with a friend from the past, while Jerry grasps at an uncommon chance, and Anne seeks guidance from a seer. A terrible event unfolds during the barn dance, prompting Anne to act with unexpected courage.
