It’s strange how far Hancock’s conversations can go when he’s on the Rogan Experience, and I'm not entirely certain I can fully trust what he says. However, Göbekli Tepe certainly changed things considerably, didn’t it? It altered established timelines; something existed earlier than expected, and it was structured and substantial. Some of the points made in Fingerprints of the Gods seem to have some validity. It's common for geologists and archaeologists—geologists and historians, specifically—to disagree because one group is attempting to adhere to a timeline that’s repeatedly being adjusted, while the other isn't bound by such limitations. I suspect things are going to become increasingly outlandish, like something from Ancient Aliens, but I also believe he deserves more consideration than he often receives.
