Synopsis

Tonight, the seven finalists of *American Idol* will take the stage to compete for the nation's vote and a chance to claim the coveted title. Each contestant will pour their heart into a performance, hoping to advance to the next round. The challenge for this evening is "Songs from The Great American Songbook." Performing tonight are Katharine McPhee, Kellie Pickler, Paris Bennett, Ace Young, Chris Daughtry, Elliott Yamin, and Taylor Hicks. They will each showcase their talent in a tribute
