Synopsis

In Tulsa, the Greenwood community represented a rare haven of economic, social, and political autonomy for Black citizens. Devastated by a white mob in 1921, the neighborhood was rebuilt, eventually becoming home to the nation's largest collection of Black-owned businesses. Now, the residents of this historic district, fondly known as "T-Town," gather to remember their community’s extraordinary ascent and tragic fall, celebrating a bygone era of neighborly connection.
