Synopsis

The morning of January 23, 1909, saw a collision in thick fog off Nantucket Island between two vessels: one laden with Italian immigrants bound for New York, the other carrying American tourists to Europe. In that instant, the fate of over 1,500 people rested on a nascent technology – wireless telegraphy – and on Jack Binns, a twenty-six-year-old operator stationed aboard one of the ships. It was a tale of courage, chance, and heroism amidst the vast ocean.
