After a very public and dramatic fall from grace, Broadway titan Richard Bean retreats to his hometown, seeking refuge in the familiar setting of his family’s theater. But what he finds isn't the haven he expected. His father, once the esteemed artistic director, is struggling, and the beloved theater—now under the management of his brother Jon and sister-in-law (who also happens to be the town mayor)—has evolved into a decidedly less glamorous dinner theater, complete with roast beef and amateur murder mysteries.
