Synopsis

The attempt to liberate the British airmen having fallen through, a disheartened René retreated to his painting of the Fallen Madonna. He concealed it behind a less appealing canvas in his café, only for General Von Klinkerhoffen instantly to identify it as a Van Gogh and demand it for his office at the chateau. He also claimed the two new waitresses at Café René – better known, of course, as the disguised British airmen. Understanding that their true identities would be immediately apparent,
