Synopsis

Christmas 1945 arrived, the first Christmas after the war had ended. Helen was unwell, leaving James with the responsibility of organizing the Darrowby Nativity play. Siegfried had returned to Mrs. Stokes’s farm, where Hilda the goat was once again causing trouble. Meanwhile, Mrs. Hall was determined to win the Drovers' darts competition, hoping for the coveted first prize of a fresh turkey.
