Synopsis

The constant travel between Heston and Skeldale was taking its toll on James. Adding to his weariness, he frequently found himself at odds with Richard Alderson, who remained displeased about the muddy floor. Separately, Mrs. Hall and Herriot were inquisitive about Siegfried's nocturnal activities, a subject brought to light when James encountered him aimlessly walking home after a night out.
