Synopsis

James seeks solace from his sorrow over Helen by inviting his new girlfriend, Connie, to the Skeldale Christmas party. As the house grows crowded with neighbors and friends, a phone call interrupts the festivities. A man, distressed, requests James’s assistance with a dog in labor.
