Synopsis

James tended to Paul’s dog, Theo, whose strength was fading. A diagnosis of Hodgkin's disease offered little hope. James, with a pragmatic heart, advised euthanasia, and Paul, heartbroken, consented. Unbeknownst to James, this decision would cast a long shadow over Paul's life, with unforeseen consequences. Later, James encountered Lord Hulton, an aristocratic landowner known for his tireless work on the farm. Hulton’s eye was caught by a horse that had strayed from the nearby military depot.
