Synopsis

The neighborhood watch was a quiet affair, mostly retirees and stay-at-home parents, but tonight felt different. A tension hummed beneath the streetlights as the patrol made its rounds. They were a good-natured bunch, more likely to offer a casserole than a stern warning, but they took their responsibilities seriously. Tonight, however, their diligence would lead them to an unexpected confrontation. A shadowy figure, unseen and unheard until the last moment, was trespassing on private property.
