Synopsis

As summer’s warmth begins to wane, the Kilchers set out fishing—though it's hardly a leisurely pursuit. They must gather hundreds of pounds of fish to sustain them through the long winter months, both as food and for trade. Each couple relies on their own established methods for catching salmon, halibut, and trout.
