It’s wonderful to see a return like this. This series brought back memories of my fondness for Adventure Time because it has all those elements: thrills, intrigue, humor, sadness, and definitely adventure. I'm writing this review after the first two episodes have been released, so that’s what I’ll be focusing on. The initial scenes of the first episode introduce us to Fionna’s world—what things might look like if the mushroom bomb hadn’t gone off. What stood out to me in this episode was the level of detail, which suggests a real commitment from both the writers and animators. I also appreciated that the new characters still have qualities reminiscent of those we already know. Regarding the second episode, it's easy to say it ranks among the very best episodes of Adventure Time, possibly even at the top. Many fans were eager to see what happened to Ice King’s life once he was without the crown, and this episode delivers on that. We also got a glimpse of a character who hadn't appeared in quite some time, which evoked feelings of nostalgia and affection for the original Adventure Time. It was nice to see that this character still acts as they always have. Even though it’s only two episodes, they give a good sense of what the show will be like overall. Ultimately, I would describe this as an updated take on Adventure Time.
