Korean television continues its impressive run, and Adamas appears to be another win for the genre. The show is smart, with believable characters and a complicated crime story that grabs your attention right away. It also manages to stand out from other series in the same style. As with many Korean shows, it’s important to stay focused because there are numerous interwoven storylines. This can be either good or bad, depending on how you watch it. Compared to what's being produced elsewhere—often poorly written and overly simplistic—I find this kind of thoughtful and stimulating entertainment very refreshing. It feels like a significant piece of Eastern storytelling. 8/10
