Synopsis

Adam considers the question of what elevates a work to greatness, explaining why certain pieces, widely seen, command reverence irrespective of their true artistic value. He then dismantles the image of the masters, portraying them instead as imitators, and exposes the contemporary art market as a calculated enterprise driven by profit.
