Synopsis

Jacob’s disclosure of a private matter brought home to Janine the extent of her own unfamiliarity with her colleagues. She had assumed a certain level of shared understanding, but now recognized how little she truly knew the other teachers. It seemed Gregory’s rigorous methods were having a detrimental effect; his entire class was struggling to keep pace.
