The story centers on a group of people who are incredibly close—perhaps to an unsettling degree—and deals with their struggles as they try to move forward after experiencing a loss and subsequent disruption within their circle. There were several heartwarming scenes, along with some predictable dialogue and exaggerated expressions of affection that appeared frequently. The characters also seemed to live in unusually large homes and apartments (making one wonder about their financial status), but the show manages to balance this with a sense of realism; not every situation resolves happily, desires go unfulfilled, and families are flawed despite appearances. However, the friendships portrayed feel genuine and supportive. I didn’t feel compelled to criticize the characters for making illogical decisions, which makes it enjoyable so far. At least up to episode 10, that is—we'll have to wait and see how things progress beyond that point.
