It feels like too much is being altered just for the sake of change. Achilles isn’t Nick Fury, and making him Black diminishes his connection to ancient Greek culture. That said, *The Bible Continues* handled this somewhat better, though not without occasional missteps. There are moments where you think, “Really? An Ancient Greek who doesn't look the part?” But those instances are infrequent, and it seems like casting decisions were driven by talent availability rather than an attempt to replicate something like *The Last Jedi*. What I truly appreciated about *The Bible* was its pacing—each segment was just long enough to hold your attention without becoming tedious; it felt perfect. This series doesn’t follow that model. It lacks the sense of urgency and instead features segments that feel slow and, at times, both preachy and dull. It's true that this tells a different story, and the acting is still quite good—but the execution falls short. The earlier version moved quickly and kept you engaged; this one feels stretched out.
