Synopsis

New York, 1963. When two recent college graduates, embarking on their first careers in the city, are found murdered in their Upper East Side apartment—raped and horribly mutilated—a wave of panic grips New York. If these young women were not safe, who was? The NYPD, facing immense public pressure to resolve this sensational case, makes a fateful error during the investigation, which the newspapers quickly label "The Career Girls Murders."
