Synopsis

The struggle for Orsola, the sole nun capable of deciphering the Book of Law, intensifies, and Toma finds himself compelled into a role as an unwitting distraction. The Amakusa engage in conflict with church officials, but the true architect of this scheme may prove far different from what Toma anticipates.
